Welcome to Fishbowl Pottery!

My name is Lori Fish.  Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin,
I threw my first pot in 9th grade.  That was all it took.
I was, and continue to be, hooked on clay.  I have recently moved to Lebanon, Missouri to devote more time to my craft.  The new location has provided a renewed awe in the outdoors and  different sets of plants and animals to spark my creative spirit.

Primarily, I create wheel thrown pottey.
My decoration is inspired by nature.
I use underglaze colors to paint designs on the pots.
Layering colors and incising create depth and variety.
Some of my pieces are left unglazed, giving them a softer look.

Ceramic vessels once used to store food and water are now utilized in a exciting new way.

The look and feel of the baked earth coupled with paintings of nature are a beautiful addition to any home or office.

 At Fishbowl Pottery,
its function is aesthetic!

My family has played an important part of my turning my passion into a business.  My parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters applauded my creativity and gave me the drive to move on toward my dreams.  My children, Ian and Rachel have not only encouraged me to follow my heart but have also inspired me through their drawings.  I have used many of their designs in "picture pots".

Look for the picture pot page coming in the near future!
