	Pit Fire   Pit Fired or "Smoked" pieces are bisque fired to 1500 degrees.  When cooled a brick "pit" is built around each piece.  Sawdust, wood chips and newspaper surround the pieces and are set afire.  The smoke permiates the clay leaving delicate shades ranging from black to white.  No two pieces are ever alike.   Smoked pieces do not hold water and are for decorative purposes only.   $40.00-$80.00
